Paul Murphy was employed by Westpac Banking Corporation for 23 years obtaining senior managerial status. He attended Investment Training College, Sydney in 1987 and has been involved in the Investment Advisory Industry since that time.

He has been a Certified Financial Planner since June 1992 and is a member of the Institute of Financial Advisers.

Paul is the founder of Sentry Financial Services Ltd, Director and now minority shareholder, following a successful succession planning exercise with Ian.

Paul is married to Mary-Jo and has two daughters.

Ian Walden
Authorised Financial Adviser (AFA)
Certified Financial Planner / Director

Since becoming a Financial Planner in 2000 Ian Walden has established and managed a successful financial planning business in South Canterbury. Prior to this Ian had 15 years experience in the New Zealand financial markets specialising in foreign exchange.

Ian has held senior treasury roles with ANZ Bank and Barclays Bank Plc in Wellington. Ian is a member of the Institute of Financial Planners and has a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies endorsed in Personal Financial Planning obtained through Massey University and is an Authorised Financial Adviser and Certified Financial Planner. Ian joined Sentry Financial in February 2006. Ian became a director on 1 July 2009 and is now the majority shareholder following a gradual succession plan with Paul.

Ian is married to Michelle, who is a Chartered Accountant, and has six wonderful children.

Pat Bonisch
Authorised Financial Adviser (AFA)
Associate Financial Planner

Pat Bonisch was employed by the Bank of New Zealand for 27 years, prior to becoming involved with the financial planning industry.

Pat was a manager with the bank in a number of branches and has worked in Wellington, Auckland and Sydney.

He has worked alongside Paul Murphy in the financial planning industry since 1997 and has been inolved with mortgage broking, risk management and financial planning.

Pat is a member of the Institute of Financial Planners and is studying for the Certified Financial Planner Qualificiation with Massey University and is an Associate Financial Planner.

Pat is married to Ginny and has two children.
